ANATOMICAL PATHOLOGIST (SESSIONAL APPOINTMENT)
12 MONTHS FIXED-TERM APPOINTMENT (4hrs per month )
SCHOOL OF CLINICAL MEDICINE
DEPARTMENT OF DERMATOLOGY
MEDICAL SCHOOL CAMPUS

The school wishes to appoint medical specialists who are willing to work on a sessional basis in the Department of Dermatology inter alia teaching, lectures, and dermatopathology teaching on a 10-header microscope.
 
The academic title of the successful incumbent will be determined during the selection process in line with the University Senate-approved criteria for academic promotions which is available on the HR Vacancies Website – http://vacancies.ukzn.ac.za/Home.aspx
Minimum Requirements:
• Registration as a Specialist Anatomical Pathologist with the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) and with the Health Professions Council of South Africa; or equivalent
• Appointment at a certain grade will be dependent on years’ experience after registration with the HPCSA in this specialty;
• Experience in undergraduate and clinical teaching and programmes;
• Computer literacy AND
• Driver’s license.
Remuneration will be in accordance with that specified by the Department of Health.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 22 September 2023.
 
The University, however, reserves the right in special circumstances to accept late applications or extend the above date to facilitate further searches.
