placement will be in line with the approved Guidelines applicable to all

The University is
seeking a highly skilled and proactive individual to coordinate all in-house
and outsourced projects within the Mechanical and HVAC Section of the
Maintenance Department. The successful candidate will provide administrative
and financial support to the Maintenance Manager and serve as the principal
liaison between clients and contractors. The role involves offering expert
guidance on mechanical and HVAC matters, including cost management, contracts,
project oversight, and risk assessment. The incumbent will uphold a strong
culture of safety and quality, provide effective leadership to subordinates,
and play a key role in Utility and Environmental Management by ensuring utility
consumption remains within budget and contributing to the reduction of the
campus’s carbon footprint.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric
·
N6 National Trade
Diploma in Mechanical engineering and relevant Trade Test
·
5 years’ experience
in the managing ground and landscaping environment, of which 2 years must be at
a supervisory/managerial level
·
Computer Literacy
Knowledge of:
·
OHSA
·
Statutory
requirements of pressure vessels
·
HVAC Systems
·
Domestic Heating and
Boilers
·
Safe Handling of
Gases
·
Lifts and Escalators
