Dear student

You are invited to participate in a research study on the Perceptions of students on transactional sex among University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College campus students. This study, led by a Sociology Honours student, aim and purpose of the research is the shed inside on the nature, effect, factors and implications of transactional sex among students. Your involvement would include completing an online questionnaire that should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Participation is voluntary and considered as consent upon submission of the questionnaire.

The study has received ethical approval and ensures anonymity and confidentiality. There are no anticipated risks, and all data will be securely stored and used only for reporting collective findings. No incentives are offered for participation. If you are interested in discussing your experiences further, you may contact the researcher through the provided email addresses.

This study has obtained ethical clearance from the University of KwaZulu-Natal Human Research Ethics committee. Protocol number is HSSREC/ 00007593/2024
