The incumbent will provide technical support to the School
by maintaining electronic/computer instruments and repairing failed electronic/computer
laboratory equipment in service. S/he will be responsible for the development,
design, construction, and installation of both analogue and digital electronic/computer
equipment for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as research and academic
staff. S/he will provide technical expertise and advice to staff and students, recommend
appropriate materials and equipment for project manufacturing and assist with
sourcing quotations for these materials and equipment. Further s/he must be familiar
with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
The incumbent will report to the Principal Technician.
· Matric plus NTC4/Higher with relevant Trade
Test OR relevant three-year
qualification
· Four (4) years relevant experience
· Experience with design and manufacturing in
Computer Engineering.
· Experience in MS Office.
· A valid driver’s license.
Short-listed candidates will be required to undergo a
skills test.
