UCDP: Postgraduate Student Capacitation Workshop Series
Dear Student
The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has
provided the University Capacity Development Programme (UCDP) funding. A key
component of the UCDP is academic staff and student development. In this
regard, an important outcome articulated in UKZN’s UCDP Plan is to conduct
research capacity-building workshops for Masters and Doctoral students.
The workshops aim to assist Masters and Doctoral students
with improving their academic writing skills as well as finalising their
research proposals. In this context, you are invited to attend virtual
offering of the following workshop series:
- Introduction to Academic Writing
- Conceptualising a Research Problem
- Research Ethics and Plagiarism
- Writing a Literature Review
- Distinguishing between Quanitative and Qualitative, Mixed Methods Methodologies
- Analysis and Interpretation of Data
Please note that this particular call is restricted to
Masters and Doctoral students who:
- Are registered with the College of Agirculture, Engineering and Science.
- Agree to provide the UCDP Office with a draft
proposal after 3 months of attending.
