2022 INSURANCE GENERAL NOTICE

LARGE LOSS

 The University is obligated to advise insurers monthly of ALL incidents that may or may not result in a legal liability claim, this includes, injuries to persons or property.

 When any incident of this nature incurs please send an email to either:

ASSET ALL RISK

 With All ASSET ALL RISK claims for buildings and or contents, 

UKZN is insured on a scheme with other tertiary institutions, only 1,75 billion in the insured year is allocated holistically for all the institutions with a 30,000 excess.

 Once claims holistically have exceeded the R1,75 billion co-insurers then settle a claim and the excess becomes R75,000.

 It is imperative that all losses and quotes are treated with the utmost urgency and sent timely to our offices.

OUTSTANDING 2021 INSURANCE CLAIMS 

Any outstanding 2021 claims, must ALL be finalised and submitted to the insurance claims handler, email address above, by the insurer's deadline of 31 March 2022.
