Dear Colleagues

Interested parties are cordially invited to register for an Online Open Day organised by UKZN's College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science.

This event is relevant to current high school learners interested in career and study options in these fields, as well as their teachers, parents and guardians. University staff and students might also be interested to tune in.

Information will be provided on the College, its mainstream and Access programmes, the application process for 2021 and financial aid availability. Each of the five Schools within the College will highlight their degree options in a scheduled time slot over the course of the day. This includes the School of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences; the School of Chemistry and Physics; the School of Engineering; the School of Life Sciences; and the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Sciences.

Participants can join the sessions that they are most interested in, and Q&A facilities will be available.

The PROGRAMME is as follows:

09h00: Overview of the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science. Hosted by the Dean of Teaching and Learning – Professor Naven Chetty.

10h00: What Career? What Degree? Hosted by UKZN Science Centre Coordinator, Dr Tanja Reinhardt.

11h00: Study in the School of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences. Hosted by the Dean, Professor Fhatu Mudau.

12h00: Study in the School of Chemistry and Physics. Hosted by the Dean, Professor Ross Robinson.

13h00: Study in the School of Engineering. Hosted by the Dean, Professor Glen Bright.

14h00: Study in the School of Life Sciences. Hosted by the Dean, Professor Ade Olaniran.

15h00: Study in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. Hosted by the Dean, Professor Delia North.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
