POSITION: PART TIME CLINICAL SUPERVISOR (DENTISTRY)

The Discipline of Dentistry
requires clinical supervisors to support clinical teaching at various levels within
the dental therapy programme for the 2019 academic year. Incumbents will be
appointed in accordance with their expertise in the relevant area/s and will
report to the Academic Leader of the Discipline and relevant Clinical
Coordinator/s. S/he will be responsible for clinical supervision and related
teaching and learning activities within the dental therapy undergraduate programme. Clinical Supervision of undergraduate dental
therapy students will occur at all relevant clinical training sites, which may
include the UKZN Dental Training Laboratory, public hospitals or
community-based health facilities, schools and off-campus community
organisations.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Dental Therapy or Dentistry
·
Currently registered with HPCSA (in the category Independent Practice) and CPD compliant
·
Minimum 2 years of work (clinical practice) experience
Advantages:

Ability to speak isiZulu

Previous experience in clinical supervision
·
Practical experience within the public health sector
·
Unendorsed drivers licence and own vehicle
