21st POTERY AFRICA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

16 - 21 OCTOBER 2017

Poetry Africa has allocated 50 free tickets for UKZN students for each night of the festival from the 16th to the 20th and all the students need to do is produce a student card.

All the evening sessions will be held at the Elizabeth Seddon Theatre at 19h00, we urge the students to come early as the tickets will be given at first come first served basis. 

Tonight’s performing poets are Tuffo da Bulletman (prelude Poet), Natalia Molebatsi, Kaloune a musical poet from the Reunion Islands, Oksana Kutsenko Rozumna an international poet from Ukraine, Hlox the Rebel and multi award winning poet Black Ice.

And tomorrow 20th: Prelude Poet is UKZNs very own Thembalethu “GloryChild” Ntuli and from the main line-up Kgafela Magogodi, Myesha Jenkins, Siyabonga Mpungose and closing the night off will be Crystal Valentine from the United States of America.

The festival will draw the curtain at the BAT Centre on the 21st of October, with free workshops, book launches at Ike's Books and open mic sessions. Music performances from Manelis, Zoe the Seed and Samthing Soweto.

Festival finale tickets and merchandise are available at the Centre for Creative Arts, Howard College.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
