Post Doctoral Researcher Position- NASSP Space-Atmosphere Interaction

NASSP (National Astrophysics and Space Science Programme) at UKZN is looking for recent Doctoral degree students to pursue research study on Space – atmospheric interactions.  It is to address the impacts of unusual space events into the neutral atmosphere using HF Radar (SuperDARN HF Radar Network), LiDAR for middle atmosphere and lower atmosphere, Riometer, Satellite observations, models and simulations.   The applicants has to be highly self-motivated, creative and excellent written communication skills.  The selected candidate may expected to assist on NASSP teaching and co-supervision of Master/Honour’s (4th year) degree students.  The initial appointment is for an year and may renewed for additional years based on the performance and availability of funds.

 

Note that it is specifically for those who have experience on the above specified instruments and work on effects of neutral atmosphere.  The candidates who have experience on use of space-borne datasets and mathematical tools are preferred.

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
