Reminder - Survey invitation - The role of self-management on postgraduate studies at UKZN

Greetings,

 

My name is Halisha Ramlall from the University of Kwazulu-Natal
(Student no: 974126064).

You are being invited to consider participating in a study that involves research into the self-management techniques of postgraduate students in UKZN. The aim and purpose of this research is to examine the various challenges that face individuals at postgraduate level and the role of self-management in dealing with these challenges. The study is expected to include 32 participants in total at the University of Kwazulu-Natal (Westville campus). The duration of your participation if you choose to participate and remain in the study is expected to be 20 minutes.


The study will provide no direct benefits to participants. However, it will inform the existing body of knowledge on the self-management techniques of students at postgraduate level.  This study has been ethically reviewed and approved by the UKZN Humanities and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee (approval number HSS/1207/016M). The ethical clearance certificate and gatekeeper's letter has also been attached to this notice.

Your participation in the study is voluntary and by participating, you are granting the researcher permission to use your responses. You may refuse to participate or withdraw from the study at any time with no negative consequence. There will be no monetary gain from participating in the study. Your anonymity will be maintained by the researcher and the School of Management, I.T. & Governance and your responses will not be used for any purposes outside of this study. All data, both electronic and hard copy, will be securely stored during the study and archived for 5 years. After this time, all data will be destroyed.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
