ICS Notice: SABC TV Licence 2015

Dear Colleagues,


The SABC Business Licence Policy, and the Broadcasting Act Licence Regulations, requires that every department possess a valid licence for each television set on their premises. The definition of TV sets includes any device capable of receiving off air television signals and includes Plasma and LCD screens with built in tuners.

 

The annual licence fee of R250 per set for the 2015/2016 period is now due and to avoid a penalty, departments must forward an IDR to ICS urgently.  

 

IDR's should be signed and contain a valid cost code, and include the following information:

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
