PHIL120: Introduction to Philosophy B

PHIL220: Thinking and Doing

PHIL350: Philosophy and Society

PHIL360: History of Philosophy

 

TUTORS REQUIRED

2nd SEMESTER 2026

 

The discipline of Philosophy (Howard Campus) requires tutors for the above modules for Semester 2 of 2026. Applicants must be able to commit 100% to the tutoring process and may be required to assist with marking of tests and assignments

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

·       A completed undergraduate degree with a major in Philosophy

·       Postgraduate registration at UKZN for second semester 2026

 

The following would be an advantage:

·       Previous tutoring experience

·       Completion of any postgraduate modules in Philosophy

 

 

In addition to delivering tutorials, tutors will be required to attend a weekly tutor meetings, to be available for consultation with students, to do marking and to facilitate study cohorts.

Remuneration will be based on the rates determined by the College of Humanities and are not negotiable.

 

The closing date for the receipt of applications is Thursday 23 July 2026.

 

Tutorials will start on 27 July 2026.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will need to login in order to place a notice.
