COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES LECTURER: MEDIA AND CULTURAL STUDIES

SCHOOL OF ARTS

The Department of Media and Cultural Studies (Pietermaritzburg campus) invites applications for a 5-month post at Lecturer level to teach in our programme.

 

The applicant is expected to teach introductory sections on representation, semiotic analysis, normative media theory, and media history in South Africa across undergraduate levels; and assume relevant administrative duties in the programme.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·       An MA degree in Media and Cultural Studies;

·       Evidence of teaching experience in Media Studies at a tertiary level;

·       Evidence of keeping relevant administrative module records at a tertiary institution;

·       Evidence of module development in Media Studies at a tertiary institution;

·       Experience in using Moodle as a Learning Management System

·       Experience in research assistance.
