The discipline of African Languages in the School of Arts invites applications for a contract lecturer position in our Howard College campus to teach in Semester 1, 2025 (February 2025 – 30 June 2025). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at undergraduate Kiswahili levels, undertake consultations with students and contribute to administrative tasks within the discipline. All teaching will be done face to face.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·       A Master’s degree in Kiswahili.

·       At least 2 years successful teaching/tutoring experience in Kiswahili at university level.

·       Knowledge of Kiswahili grammar and literature,

REMUNERATION: The remuneration offered will be in accordance with UKZN fixed-term rates of pay.
