Building the Social and Solidarity Economy: Supporting Social Enterprises as Engines of Inclusive Growth
Social enterprises are increasingly recognised as critical actors that combine economic activity with social and environmental value creation. In contexts characterised by high unemployment, inequality, and service delivery gaps, they play a vital role in creating livelihoods, delivering community-based solutions, and strengthening local economies.
This webinar aims to explore the role of social enterprises in advancing Local Economic Development (LED), with a particular focus on their contribution to inclusive growth. It will create a platform for stakeholders across government, academia, the private sector, and civil society to reflect on how social enterprises can be better supported to achieve sustainability, scale, and long-term impact, drawing on both local experiences and international perspectives.
