Perceptions of cataloguing librarians on the adoption of fifth industrial revolution technologies in academic libraries in South Africa

I hope this email will finds you well. My name is Mukondeleli Embracia Thema (Student number: 50116479), I am a postgraduate student who is pursuing a master's degree in Information Science at the University of South Africa (UNISA) under the supervision of Dr Ledwaba. I am writing to formally request permission to conduct a study entitled "Perceptions of cataloguing librarians on the adoption of fifth industrial revolution technologies in academic libraries in South Africa". The purpose of the study is to investigate cataloguing librarians’ perceptions on the adoption of 5IR technologies for cataloguing in academic libraries in South Africa with a view to learn your acceptance behavior and attitude towards the use of technologies.
You are kindly invited to participate in this study by participating in the interview, where you will explore experiences, perspectives, and institutional realities relating to the 5IR techologies used in the cataloguing department. Participation in this study is entirely voluntary. All information shared will be treated with strict confidentiality and anonymity, and the data will be used solely for academic research purposes.
