Print

The Great teachings of Musical Giants, Hugh Masekela and Victor Ntoni found their way to Derrick 'Simpi' Mbatha in New York in the 80's and inspired a new jazz in him and his ensemble, The Jazzy Shandu Ensemble. Re-awakening the sound that these legends offered to the world has been his brave mission coupled with his own experiences and deep Jazz Credo. He has formed sincere camaraderie through tune, song and chamber music. Come celebrate remarkable music and impeccable ensemble pieces that respire the heart and are lifting in spirit!
