Call for Applications: ULPDO 2026 Internship Programme (Online Form)
Dear Colleagues,
The University Language Planning and Development Office (ULPDO) invites applications for the 2026 Internship Programme (5 positions available).
The internship offers postgraduate students' valuable exposure to the operations of the Language Office and the broader language services sector at provincial, national, and international levels. Interns will receive structured supervision, training, and professional development opportunities.
Eligible applicants must:
- Have completed IsiZulu or English studies up to Honours level
- Be currently enrolled for a master's degree in Linguistics, African Languages, or English
- Have a background in one or more of the following areas:
- Research / Bilingual Pedagogy / Language Planning and/or Development
- Lexicography / Terminology Development / Translation / Interpreting / Editing / Literature
- Corpus Linguistics / Computational Linguistics / Human Language Technologies
- Administration
