Do you need help with essay/assignment writing?  

The Writing Place for the School of Management, IT and Governance assists students with academic writing skills through an emphasis on essay/assignment structure and understanding of academic writing conventions. The trained postgraduate tutor will work through a draft of your essay with you to ensure that you answer the essay question in a coherent and cohesive manner. The tutor will also provide suggestions on how essay structure and grammar can be improved as well as equipping students with the correct referencing techniques in order to avoid the consequences of plagiarism.

How:  Undergraduate students (1^st - 3^rd year) doing modules from the School of Commerce (Economics, Marketing, Management, Maritime Studies), should email the Writing Place tutor at least 4 days before the due date of the assignment to arrange a Teams meeting during the consultation times listed above. Then have a typed, complete draft of the essay, the essay question, course guide and lecture notes ready during the Teams consultation where the Writing Place tutor will assist with recommendations for how the assignment can be improved.
