Ad Hoc Lecturer (French)

Applications are invited for two contract lecturer positions - both on the Pietermaritzburg Campus - to teach for Semester 1, 2026 (1 February 2026 – 30 June 2026) in French in the School of Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. The successful applicants will be responsible for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, will participate in curriculum development and will assume the relevant administrative duties.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·       A relevant Master’s degree

·       At least 2 years of successful teaching experience at tertiary level

·       Evidence of experience and knowledge of teaching French as a second/foreign language

·       Evidence of competence in using online/blended teaching methods

Remuneration: The remuneration offered will be in accordance with UKZN fixed-term rates of pay.
