PROGRAMME MANAGER: PART-TIME LLB FIXED-TERM APPOINTMENT


HOWARD COLLEGE CAMPUS REF NO: CELS 07/2025/PT LLB
 

The Centre for Extended Legal Studies (CELS) seeks to appoint a Programme Manager on a fixed-term contract (from 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2026 (incl.)) to manage the Part-time LLB Programme (80 hours per month)

The incumbent must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, a 
thorough knowledge of the academic rules, policies, and procedures applicable to the Part-time LLB programme, and the ability to manage online teaching and learning efficiently, effectively, and creatively.

There may be adjustments to the nature of the relevant positions during the contract period as a 
result of re-organisation. Among their other duties, incumbents may be required to assist with the transition to the new structure.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

•    A Master’s degree in Law or an appropriate professional qualification (such as admission as an attorney or advocate after pupilage);
•    At least three (3) years’ practical experience with managing and organizing an academic 
programme in the UKZN School of Law, which must include experience with managing online programme delivery.


The post report to the Director: CELS at Howard College Campus. Technical enquiries regarding the post may be directed to krugers@ukzn.ac.za. Communication will be limited to short-listed 
candidates. The remuneration will be in accordance with the University's policy on fixed-term 
appointments. The closing date for receipt of applications is 21 November 2025. Applicants are
