CAES Student Support Services - ROOTED TO RISE: SUPPORT GROUP FOR UKZN CAES STUDENTS

Are you feeling overwhelmed by university life, family expectations, or academic pressures?
You are not alone.

Join our 6-week support group designed especially for students from the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science (CAES) who want to build resilience, find belonging, and thrive at UKZN.

What you’ll gain:

  • A safe and supportive space to share your journey

  • Tools to manage stress, survivor’s guilt, and academic insecurity

  • Strategies for balancing family expectations and campus life

  • Skills in confidence, assertiveness, and self-care

  • A community of peers who understand and uplift each other

Facilitators:
Bulelwa Khanyile (Educational Psychologist)
Anathi Mazongolo (Intern Educational Psychologist)

Start Date: Mid-October
Duration: 6 weekly sessions (1 hour each)
Venue: Frank Bush Board Room

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will need to login in order to place a notice.
