MICROSOFT DATA SCIENCE PROGRAMME
Cohort 3 – Region: Pietermaritzburg (KZN)

Gijima, in collaboration with Microsoft, is inviting applications from graduates for the Data Science Program 2025/2026.

The programme is designed to attract young, multi-disciplined graduates with little or no work experience. It provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and industry exposure while being trained in Data Science over a 7-month period.

Minimum Requirements:

  • South African Citizen

  • Aged between 18 – 35 years

  • Must currently be unemployed

  • Must reside in Pietermaritzburg (relocation is not an option)

  • Must not be participating in another internship, learnership, or tertiary programme

  • Clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, IT, Informatics, or Engineering

  • Completed Statistics 1 & 2 and/or Mathematics 1 & 2 in undergraduate studies

  • Active interest in Programming, AI, and Data Science

  • Foundational English and computer literacy skills

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

Anybody can access the notice system, however you will need to login in order to place a notice.
