SARAO is pleased to announce that the call for new applications for the NRF-SARAO Bachelor in Engineering Technology (BET) and Diploma in Engineering Technology (DET) Scholarships for the 2026 academic year is now open.

Before completing an application form, applicants are required to read the SARAO Application Guides available at the following links:

Closing Dates for Applicants

  1. Each university of technology will set its own internal closing date for applications.
  2. Applicants must confirm the internal closing date with the university of technology where they intend to register and ensure submission is made on or before that date.

NRF Connect System Deadlines:

  • Applicant Closing Date: 20 September 2025
  • Designated Authority Closing Date: 10 October 2025

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
