We are pleased to invite applications for our 2026 Internship Programme aimed at equipping graduates with relevant work experience in the platinum group metals (PGM) industry.

PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP
Impala Platinum is dedicated to youth skills development and offers graduates an opportunity to gain industry-specific work experience while contributing technical, engineering, and management support to operations. The internship includes rotational work experience to help meet operational objectives and support business and technical improvement projects.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.

  • Sound knowledge of chemical engineering and/or metallurgical principles.

  • Medically fit to work in different operational areas (Concentrator Operations / Smelting Operations / PMR / BMR).

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Successfully complete a structured 24-month internship programme.

  • Gain exposure to technical, safety, and managerial aspects in a production environment.

  • Attend all required training and development interventions.

  • Submit training reports as required.

  • Provide technical support to operations aligned with the business plan.
