The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music proudly presents Kesivan and the Lights who are embarking in a Special South African Concert Tour Wednesdsay 07 May at 17:30, Experience an electrifying concert of world-class jazz as Kesivan Naidoo brings his international version of  Kesivan and the Lights home to the UKZN Centre for Jazz and Popular music, Durban. Led by the award-winning drummer, this powerhouse ensemble brings together an extraordinary lineup of top-tier musicians. Joining Kesivan are fellow Young Artist Award winners piano-superstar Bokani Dyer and trumpet prodigy Darren English alongside a global roster of jazz virtuosos:Brazilian guitar master Fabio Gouvêa, the prolific French saxophonist Charley Rose and one of Europe’s most sought-after young bassists, Joan Codina from Spain . The band will play some of Kesivan Naidoo’s new compositions, some surprise arrangements of his "new standards" and reinterpretations of the great South African masters, Kesivan has played with over the past 30 years.
