STUDENT FUNDING COMMUNIQUÉ

UPDATE IRO THE LAPTOP ROLLOUT FOR STUDENTS FUNDED BY NSFAS

Dear Staff and Students

Please take note of that the laptop roll out for NSFAS funded students will take place in two phases due the way in which the laptop stock has been supplied to the University by the supplier.

The first consignment of laptops will be rolled by ICS from Thursday 24 April 2025.  This consignment will cater for 50% of the NSFAS Funded students eligible to receive laptops.  In view of this limitation, students will be advised by SMS when to collect their laptops from the ICS Walk in Centre on their campus.

Students must first wait for an SMS before reporting to the ICS Walk In Centre.  Those students who cannot be assisted from the first consignment of laptops will be assisted from the second consignment and must NOT report to the ICS Walk In centre prior to receiving an SMS as it will not be possible to assist them until the second consignment of stock is received.

NSFAS Funded students are further reminded that laptops are only issued once off and care must be taken to ensure that laptops are not lost or damaged as replacements will not be considered.

Any further queries regarding may be sent to the Student Funding Advisors.
