Dear College of Health Sciences Student


You are invited to consider participating in an operational study that involves students' experiences of services and support within the College of Health Sciences. This survey seeks to explore your thoughts and experiences by answering a series of questions. Your feedback and suggestions will provide insights into our strong services, best practices and opportunities to improve in areas that fall short of service delivery and support.  


This study has been ethically reviewed and approved by the Registrar. Gatekeeper’s permission is granted to conduct an operational survey at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), title of your survey is: “College of Health Sciences Student Experience Survey”. In the event of any concerns, questions or challenges, you may contact the researchers, Dr Saloschini Pillay (Manager: Student Support Services) at pillaysl@ukzn.ac.za or Dr Zamahlabangane Mtshali (SWAT Researcher) at mthsaliz@ukzn.ac.za.

Participation in this research is voluntary and you may withdraw at any stage. There are no costs incurred and no incentives or reimbursements. All data will be stored safely and no identifying data will be collected. Data will only be used for research purposes and accessible to the primary researcher. All electronic information will be stored in a password-protected computer, and data reproduced in paper format will be stored in a locked cupboard and deleted and shredded, respectively, five years after completion of the study.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
