Dear Staff and Students.

The Animal Research Ethics Committee (AREC) has collated relevant links and guidelines on a single Resource page that will answer some of the frequent requests we get from researchers, and links to the AREC training, RIG training, guidelines, legislation etc., that are important for researchers to know about. This link can easily be shared by College Deans of Research/School ALRs, or among colleagues and students.

Please note that ONLY UKZN staff and students will have access.

The link to the AREC resource page is: UKZN-AREC RESOURCE PAGE (sharepoint.com)

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?

Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
