The Public Policy Programme at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, located on Howard College Campus in Durban, is part of the International & Public Affairs Cluster within the School of Social Science. Our dedicated staff is committed to nurturing and developing postgraduate students to their full potential. Public policy encompasses the rules, regulations, legislation, and judicial decisions developed by governments to achieve desired outcomes in political, social, and economic environments.

Admission Requirements:

Admission to the honours in Public Policy Programme requires an undergraduate degree in Political Science, Sociology or cognate disciplines with a minimum average mark of 60%. Admission to Coursework Masters requires a background in Sociology, Political Science or cognate disciplines and minimum Honours average mark of 60%.  Admission to Full Research Masters requires an Honours degree in Public Policy with a minimum average mark of 65%. For doctoral program, the requirement is master’s degree in public policy with a minimum average mark of 65%.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
