Transitioning from face to face to online teaching during the coronavirus pandemic: UKZN lecturer's experiences

Greeting Lecturers

 

My name is Vuyo Irvin Masuku, I am currently registered for the Masters program in Industrial Organisational Psychology at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Howard Campus.

 

You are being invited to consider participating in a study that involves research on transitioning to remote teaching during the pandemic. This research aims to explore the sudden transition from face-to-face teaching to remote teaching from the perspective of academic staff members. More specially, the study seeks to understand the lecturers' description of their experiences as well as the challenges and benefits of teaching remotely during the pandemic.

 

This study will involve a semi-structured interview with academics staff via online (Zoom).

 

Research participant criteria:

·      Academics staff (lecturers - Professors, Associate Professors, Senior lecturers, Lecturers, and Senior Tutors) at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Durban.

·      Male and females of all races.

·      Must have experience of face-to-face teaching before the pandemic and currently experiencing online teaching.

This study has been ethically reviewed and approved by the UKZN Humanities and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee as per protocol reference number: HSSREC/00005708/2023.

Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
