The incumbent of this post will provide support to technicians and academics in assisting undergraduate and postgraduate students with their practicals and projects. This involves designing and manufacturing components utilizing various mechanical workshop equipment. S/he must have the ability to operate agricultural tractors, assist with student transportation, and perform various field operations as required. S/he will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around all farm buildings of the school, ensuring the mechanical workshop is kept clean and organized, and maintaining all related equipment.

 

The incumbent with also fulfil any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as determined by management with regard to the operational needs of the School.

 

The incumbent will report to the Principal Technician. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

·        Matric/NTC3 or Higher qualification.

·        Two years of relevant experience with agricultural equipment, workshop machinery, and knowledge of tractor maintenance.

·        A valid unendorsed driver's Code B licence or higher (to drive motor vehicles and tractors up to 16000 kg)

 

Short-listed candidates may be required to undergo a skills test.
