Reminder: Submissions for the Ukulinga Howard Davis Memorial Symposium

We are pleased to share the first call for submissions for the sixth Ukulinga Howard Davis Memorial Symposium to be hosted on 22 and 23 May 2024 at the University's Ukulinga Research Farm with the theme of Sustainability and Innovative Technologies in Agriculture.

The theme of SUSTAINABILITY AND INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN AGRICULTURE is intended to bring together stakeholders driving research andanisations, processors, policymakers, local government, and students whose work is oriented towards enhanced sustainability to bolster food systems against threats that include climate change, biodiversity loss, environmental degradation, water scarcity and pollution, pesticide and herbicide resistance, loss of traditional knowledge, market pressures, and more.

We hope to welcome you to this year’s symposium. Please get in touch regarding any submissions for the programme, enquiries about exhibiting, or queries about attendance.

For inclusion in the programme with an oral presentation, poster display or creative presentation,
please submit a 300-word abstract or presentation description to cuenod@ukzn.ac.za by 17 APRIL 2024.

The organisers welcome technical, academic, practical, creative, and social involvement.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
