The DAAD Information Centre Johannesburg is delighted to present an exciting opportunity for the students and researchers.

On July 22, 2024, the DAAD Information Centre Johannesburg, in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, will be hosting the Falling Walls Lab Tshwane at Future Campus Africa UP.

Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition, networking forum, and steppingstone that brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary pool of students, researchers, and early-career professionals by providing a stage for breakthrough ideas both globally and locally. Its multifaceted formats support participants in driving their innovations and develop their communication skills, fostering collaboration and creating a space for an impactful and sustainable community to thrive.

Students and researchers are encouraged to apply to partake in our Falling Walls Lab, where you will have the opportunity to present your innovative ideas in just three minutes. This provides a platform to showcase breakthroughs that drive positive change in both science and society.

Furthermore, the first-place winner of the Falling Walls Lab Tshwane will be awarded a trip to Berlin to compete in the global finale held in November. Additionally, you will have the privilege of attending the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit, where you will engage and network with esteemed figures from the realms of science, business, and policymaking.

Interested candidates may submit your applications for our lab until May 3, 2024, through the following link: https://falling-walls.com/lab/apply/tshwane/
