The School of Social Sciences cordially invites you to attend a public lecture by the Auditor-General of South Africa: Ms Tsakani Maluleke.

 

TITLE: THE ROLE OF THE AUDITOR-GENERAL IN ENHANCING GOVERNMENT’S SERVICE DELIVERY THROUGH OVERSIGHT PRACTICES.

The lecture will explore key governance issues, including:

  • Status and levels of compliance with the corrective measures and recommendations of the AG by government.
  • Status of consequence management for noncompliance with AG recommendations by Accounting Officers across the three spheres of government.
  • The effectiveness of legislative instruments in enforcing compliance with AG corrective measures.

 

This engagement presents an important opportunity for the University community to deepen its understanding of governance expectations, accountability and institutional best practices. It will also provide a platform for meaningful reflection and dialogue on issues that have a direct impact on public institutions and society.

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

Anybody can access the notice system, however you will need to login in order to place a notice.
