RECOGNITION
PROCEDURE 2021
Dear Students
Every
year student who wish to formalise themselves into a student structure or
student club, the UKZN SRC Constitution give
them an opportunity to apply for recognition on an annual bases. This process
is administered by the Student Governance and Leadership Development
Department (SGLD). Therefore all student or student formations that want to be
recognised by the SRC will have to apply via email, and emails to be directed
to your campus SGLD Administrator.
Please
visit section 23 of the UKZN SRC Constitution for more
information and on the documents you need to submit. We have also attached a
document explaining how to start the process of applying.
All applications will be
vetted and submitted to your respective Campus Representatives Councils (CRC)
for approval. All applicants will be formally informed by their respective CRC
of their decision and in a case where your application is not successful, you
will be offered an opportunity to appeal and the decisions of the Recognitions
Appeal Committee are final.
