SCHOOL OF CLINICAL MEDICINE

MEDICAL SCHOOL

 

REFERENCE NUMBER: T/CM01/2021

 

The incumbent will provide academic support within a defined postgraduate group, focusing on literature synthesis support and training within the group.  Administrative tasks associated with the position will be managed by the incumbent. The incumbent will be required to liaise closely with librarian staff alongside and on behalf of the postgraduate students being assisted.

 

The incumbent will report to Professor Colleen Aldous.

 

Minimum Requirements:  

 

·       Three years teaching/tutoring experience at a tertiary institution

·       Two years postgraduate co-supervision or support

·       A high level of understanding spoken and written communication

·       Excellent presentation skills with a record of local or international conferences

·       Understanding qualitative and quantitative research

·       Proficiency in Microsoft word processing & spreadsheet packages

·       Familiar with citation manager and data analytic softwares (EndNote, Mendeley or Zotero, and NVIVO or SPSS)

·       Experience in scoping reviews with at least 1 relevant publication

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
