Title of the study: Democracy inside teacher education in South Africa: The politics of process.

 

Research details and aim:

This research concerns the practice of democracy within teacher education in South Africa. Democracy is enshrined both in the South African constitution and in the key goals for education in South Africa. The research will investigate understandings of democracy in teacher education, examples of democratic good practice and obstacles to democratic practice in teacher education. The aim of this research is to produce a report, which both exemplifies good practice and provides guidance to improving democratic practice in teacher education in the future. Final copies of the report will be made available to all participating institutions for potential use in staff development.

You are humbly requested to participate on an online survey will take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete. Kindly note that your name will remain anonymous throughout the study and after completion of the study. The information collected will be kept confidential and you may withdraw from this study at any time without any penalties.

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
