Dear UKZN Prospective Participants,


I am a student completing the Masters in Public Health programme in the Faculty of Health Science at the University of Johannesburg (UJ), South Africa.

Title of the study: Factors which compromise the occupational health and safety of workers at a South African institution of higher learning.

This research aims to understand factors which compromise the occupational health and safety of workers at a South African institution of higher learning. You are hereby asked to participate in the present study. Your name will remain anonymous throughout the study and after completion of the study. The information collected will be kept confidential. You may withdraw from this study at any time without any penalties.

Should you choose to participate, the online questionnaire will take approximately 5 to 15 minutes to complete. During the online questionnaire, you are free to withdraw at any time, with no negative consequences.

A detailed information letter is on the first page of the questionnaire. If you choose to participate in this study, you will be expected to consent using your work email address; then you will proceed to answer the questionnaire.

The findings obtained from the research process will be compiled in a dissertation and presented to the Faculty of Health Science at UJ, for academic purposes.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
