CAES Student counsellors are available to do counselling online during lockdown

Students registered in the College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science (CAES): do you need support and counselling?

If yes, Student Counsellors in Student Support Services(SSS) are available to assist you between the hours of 08H00 and 16H30 Mondays to Fridays via Zoom, video chat or phone. This is for both postgraduate and undergraduate students registered in CAES and is free and confidential. 

Please go to caes-ukzn.bookem.com to make an appointment and one of our student counsellors will contact you to find out how you wish to conduct your session and will request that you submit an online consent form before your session.

Alternatively please send an email to Aessupport@ukzn.ac.za. These emails will only be attended to during office hours. If you have an after hours emergency please contact Sadag on 011-2344837 or 0800 567 567 or Lifeline on 0861 322 322.

Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
