Workshops on Continuous Assessment

 MAY 2020

Dear Colleagues,

The UKZN College of Humanities Curriculum Transformation Project cordially invites you to attend a series of workshops on Continuous Assessment during the month of May 2020.  Three workshops have been planned for the staff of the College of Humanities.

The purpose of the workshops are to expose staff to the possibilities for continuous assessment with a view to informing their teaching, learning and assessment as they plan for and execute on-line digital based engagement with the students during the lockdown period and beyond.

The workshops will be hosted on the Zoom platform.  The presenters are all experienced specialists in assessment in Higher Education (see workshop details in attachment).   There will be an opportunity to engage with the presenters through questions and discussions and would include practical examples of integration of continuous assessment within modules.

To participate in these workshops, you would need to register with Ms Ruth Danster via email: Dansterr@ukzn.ac.za so the zoom links can be sent to you.

Please provide your name, academic Department and indicate which of the workshop/s you will attend.  It is suggested that you participate in all three workshops to get a complete exposure on continuous assessment.

For enquiries please contact Ms Ruth Danster (0312602898) or Labby (0826749829) or William (0769012000) on WhatsApp.

On behalf of Prof Labby Ramrathan, Coordinator, College of Humanities Curriculum Transformation Project: RAMRATHANP@ukzn.ac.za

Dr William Dansoh
