(19 MONTHS FIXED TERM APPOINTMENT)

The incumbent is expected to directly interact with the High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) EPPEI Specialization Centre.

S/he will be responsible for the sourcing of Electrical Engineering information such as trends and gaps to help develop future and relevant research projects and courses for the centre. They will be responsible for EPPEI course development, and develop at least one course in 2020.

Other expected responsibilities are to sit on the EPPEI Research committees, co-supervise postgraduates and help with the EPPEI student database.


The incumbent will report to the Director of the Centre,and expected to work a three day week.

Minimum requirements:

  • A PhD degree in Engineering

     

  • At least 15 years’ experience as a professional Electrical Engineering

     

  • Excellent knowledge of the South Africa Electrical Grid

     

  • Evidence of knowledge regarding to Electrical Engineering international trends
