Description of services
During the period of lock-down, the Centre for Applied Psychology will be providing time-limited free psychological services to individuals experiencing psychological distress and those feeling isolated and alone.

Services include one-on-one psychotherapy, support groups for individuals experiencing psychological distress and support groups for those facing difficulties adapting to the lock-down and anxieties regarding the Corona Virus. We also offer support groups for healthcare workers.

All services are highly professional and strictly confidential. CAP is accredited by the Health Professions Council (HPCSA) as an advanced Training Site for psychologists within the Discipline of Psychology. The Clinic is run by registered psychologists and trainee psychologists under supervision.

All services will be hosted on the Zoom video conferencing and text therapy platforms. Support groups will run for a period of 1.5 hours, while individual therapy will last for an hour.
