2020 Consulting Graduate Programme

The PwC Deal

No matter which area of the business you choose to join, all graduate programmes offer the same deal: the opportunity to grow as an individual, to meet new people, and build relationships that will stay with you for life.

Our graduate training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work. You'll gain business, personal and technical skills you can use across the business and throughout your career.

All our people need to demonstrate skills and behaviours that will support us in implementing our business strategy. This is important to the work we do for our business and our clients. These skills and behaviours make up our global leadership framework: The PwC Professional.

About Advisory:

You will provide advice and creative solutions for a diverse range of private and public sector clients. You guide them through major transactions, operational changes and strategic decisions.

Consulting helps some of the world's most significant organisations become even more effective quickly. We improve the way they operate, accelerate their growth, reduce their costs, manage their risks, develop their talent and change the way they do business. In doing so, we focus on their agendas and the big issues they need to deal with, both today and in the future.

As a Graduate within our Durban Consulting practice, you will join a team where you will have the opportunity to build strong, well-rounded foundational consulting skills across various sectors and competencies (Operations, People & Organisation, Finance and Accounting and Technology) early in your career.

The following qualifications are considered (with a preference for Honours Graduates):

  • Engineering - all specialisations
  • Finance and Accounting
  • Computational and Applied Mathematics / Mathematics
  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Industrial & Organisational Psychology / Human Resources / Labour Relations
  • Business Science

Responsibilities

Our Programme starts off with an off-site induction on Core Consulting skills, soft skills with a huge focus on teamwork. All graduates, nationally, will be brought together to attend the one month induction.

As a member of the Graduate Programme you will work in multidisciplinary engagement teams to deliver solutions to complex client problems. The client base includes multi-nationals, state-owned and private enterprises.

During your 24 months, you will have the opportunity to work with various Consulting competencies whereby your role and responsibilties will differ based on the function of each team.
