Internship Programme
4 x Language Interns
The University Language Planning and Development Office (ULPDO) provides
an excellent learning environment for language interns. In addition to the
hands on nature of the duties that are assumed by the language interns, the
ULPDO internship programme provides interns with exposure to the structures and
the role players in the language services sector at a provincial, national and
international level. The language interns will be assigned a supervisor who
will be responsible for their training and skills development.

have excellent written and verbal communication skills

have a working knowledge of computer application software

be flexible and be able to work under pressure

be a team player as well as be able to work independently

have good interpersonal skills

Must
have a high level of professionalism
To apply you must:
1. 1. Be an isiZulu mother tongue speaker.
2. 2. Be currently enrolled for Masters in Linguistics/African
Languages.
3. 3. Have a background in one/more of the following:
- Corpus Linguistics
- Language planning
and/or development,
- Lexicography,
- Translation and/or
interpreting,
- IsiZulu terminology development.
