CLUSTER  AND ACADEMIC LEADERS FOR 2019 (3 POSTS)

ONE YEAR FRACTIONAL APPOINTMENT

 

·         Cluster Academic Leader: Culture - Ref. No. SSS 01/2019

·         Cluster Academic Leader: International and Public Affairs – Ref. No. SSS 02/2019

·         Academic Leader : Teaching and Learning- Ref. No. SSS 03/ 2019

 

 

HOWARD COLLEGE/PIETERMARITZBURG CAMPUS

 

The incumbents, who will be permanent serving member of academic staff in the School of Social Sciences, will provide academic leadership in scholarship, teaching, curriculum development,  research and community engagement for their respective group of academics within the School, including management of the performance of academics within the Cluster (for cluster leaders). They will also be responsible for the administrative processes relating to the portfolios as set out in the respective job profiles. The incumbents will report to the Dean and Head of School.

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Doctoral degree at the level of Senior Lecturer or above

·         Performing at or above the norm of expectation at the level of appointment

 

Advantages:

 Experience in development and/or management of academic programmes.

REMUNERATION: A non-pensionable allowance is paid.
