 4th Workshop on the Research Flagship Big Data and Informatics - "Computing Solutions”



First Announcement

A workshop on the UKZN Research Flagship "Big Data and Informatics - Computing Solutions" will be held as follows:

Date:Friday, 19th  October 2018

Time: 9:00 -11:00

Venue: Seminar Room 5, Govan Mbeki Centre, Westville Campus

The workshop aims to continue the discussion, started during the first three workshops, on how to consolidate and unlock the potential of research in the field of Big Data and Informatics at UKZN.

Background: The University of KwaZulu-Natal has recently published the Strategic Plan 2017-2021 under the title "Inspiring Greatness. This new strategy builds upon plans already underway and at the same time launches several new initiatives. Among these is the establishment of four Research Flagships, namely

a. Social cohesion - AddressingInequality and Promoting Nation Building."
b. African health - "Saving lives."
c. Big Data and Informatics - "Computing Solutions".
d. African cities of the future - "Most liveable cities".

This particular workshop wants to be a platform  to discuss and prepare applications for the call of proposals of the UKZN Research Flagship initiative, that was recently published.

Researchers from all Colleges are invited to attend and share their views on how to promote education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of the Research Flagship "Computing Solutions”.  

Presentations are welcome. Please send title and short abstract to petruccione@ukzn.ac.za

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
