The Centre for Jazz and Popular Music proudly presents Nederland’s guitarist Jim Gorissen on Wednesday 22 August 2018 at 18:00.

Gorissen’s multi-talent is illustrated by his activities in various fields such as: Salsa and Latin, Swing and Jazz, Rock and Pop.

Jim Gorissen is a regular visitor in Durban, and will feature a local band and talented Durban vocalist Shomon. Expect songs like “Triste” and “Samba triste” by Baden Powell as well as “All the things you are”  by Powell/Kern/Hammerstein.

Gorissen plays with well-loved bassist Llewelyn Chetty who is a former music student at UKZN and is becoming one of Durban’s most sought after session musicians. He has played many theatre productions and shows under his belt and has worked with numerous artists and bands both nationally and internationally including Natalie R, Burton Naidoo, Neil Gonsalves, SAMA nominees Heels Over Head, Melvyn Peters, Martin Sigamoney and Jae just to name a few. On drums, will be talented Brenton Govender.

Join Jim Gorissen for Latin and Flamenco influences on Wednesday 22 August 2018 at Centre for Jazz and Popular music (CJPM), Level 2, Shepstone Building at UKZN Howard College Campus, Wednesday 22 August 2018 at 18h00. The doors open at 17h30pm show starts at 18h00. R80 for general admission // R50 pensioners // R25 for students. Will I still be able to read my Notices from within my email?

In a manner of speaking yes. However you will not get the entire notice delivered to you in your email, instead you will get a daily digest which will list the subject of the notices, a short summary of each notice and hyperlinks that will take you to that notice on the web.

2. Who has access to notices?


Anybody can access the notice system, however you will not be able to place notices from off-campus.
