Mycobacterial Genetics Course
Discover bacteriophages that may contribute towards the treatment of tuberculosis.
Gain laboratory experience in:
- Isolation, characterisation and visualisation of novel bacteriophages;
- Gene discovery and genome annoation;
- Construction of defined mutants of mycobacteria;
- Research methods, experimental design & data interpretation.
Venue: University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville Campus, Durban, South Africa
Final year BSc, Honours, Masters & medical students are eligible to apply. Limited funds for housing are available.
